Where is the current engine house located?

There was no engine house on GVT in Batavia prior to the purchase of the former NYC roundhouse. The engine was kept over in the industrial park west of town when not in use.

The Rochester Railfan website listed the "engine house" as next to the "Majic Corrugated" facility. Would that be the last industry on the line as the train rounds the curve toward the interchange yard?

The engine was stored inside Majic.

Not sure what prompted this new arrangement other than GVT wanting a place to call its own... either that or an increase in traffic at Majic meant no room for the locomotive to be stored inside.

I don't know if a solution was ever found but one of the issues when they started to use Majic was they could not start the locomotive inside or it filled the building with fumes. They used a tow truck to pull the locomotive out each time they ran.
