Discussion about RDC's, "doodlebugs," gas-electrics, etc.

Does anyone have a list and history of the cars VIA sold to Cuba? Not sure what date this occurred. I am particularly interested in the former DSS&A #500, the "Shoreliner", which I believe may have been one of the cars.
Thanks for any info.

RDC-1's 6109, 6120, 6124, 6132, and 6147 were sold to Cuba. DSS&A 500 became CP 9049, then VIA 6124 and was one of the cars sold to Cuba.

2302: ex-VIA 6109, ex-CN 6109, ne-C&EIxxxx
2303: ex-VIA 6120, ex-CN 6120, ne CN D352
2304: ex-VIA 6124, ex-CP 9049, ne-DSS&A 500
2305: ex-VIA 6132, ne-CP 9063
2306: ex-VIA 6147, ex-CP 9307, ne-CP RDC-2 9100

Are any of the RDC's in Cuba still in operation?

Its amazing that out of the hundreds of RDC-1s manufactured, two out of the five in this group come from original owners of only one each. (South Shore and Chicago and Eastern Illinois) What are the odds of that??

Thanks for the information.....
