Back in my college days I happened upon this rather odd sight. I think they were scrapping the RDCs, but I'm not entirely sure. Would any of you happen to have info? (Scan quality of the original B&W 35mm negative is poor due improper film processing causing the grain to "reticulate".)

The RDC's were part of a group of retired Budds brought to the old North Yard in West
Cambridge for storage due to the reconstruction of Boston Engine Terminal. Predictably,
vandals made a mess of them and Cambridge asked for them to be removed. Unfortunately,
a fire was set by said vandals and these four RDC's were severely damaged. They were
knocked on their sides by a front end loader one day in order to make them less of a nuisance
magnet including that fence. Eventually they were scrapped on site.
