There are the supports of an old trestle rotting away adjacent to HBLR and conrail tracks here in Bayonne. What was the function of that trestle? It seems to lead to nowhere going west.

Where was this? If it was further south, it could have been for the CNJ Bay Bridge.

What's left of Bay Draw are a few concrete/stone footings just offshore which would not be "adjacent." There used to be several coal vendor trestles along the main line; perhaps there is remanant of the wooden support "rotting away"? HBLR is not longer a participant here to my knowledge, so this may remain a mystery forever.

Where exactly in Bayonne are you talking about?

More than likely referring to the Ex-LVRR mainline stone work for their trestle over the CNJ mainline and Morris Canal.
