I am looking for a 1st edition copy of Richard Steinbrenners book: "A Centennial Remembrance" printed in 2003. The book needs to be clean, undamaged,and have the cover jacket intact in good condition. Autographed would be a bonus. I am looking to replace mine which was destroyed in a flood...

I just learned that Richard Steinbrenner who authored "A Centennial Remembrance" pass away Jan 22. Dick was a very knowledgeable historian on ALCO history and a great photographer.

I think long-hood-front vs short-hood-front was usually a customer specified option in first-generation roadswitchers: the builders would install the controls in whatever configuration the customer wanted....

I agree with Engineer Spike. The plant could have been a basis for a Industrial Park which means permanent jobs. The City Of Schenectady has become a city of high taxes, no jobs and corrupt City management.

I was out there recently and two six axles were missing: 631 and 630 (wheel work). The 433 (a C430 ) was also missing.
