As I stated the wire was being taken down between Wawa and Glen Mills and that is beyond the part of the line that Septa wants to re-extend service to. I dont want to see catenary taken down but unfortunately its out of mine and all of ours hands, unless of course loads of people start making a stin...

You are hearing the wire train coming back from wawa. The wire train is in the process of taking the wire down from Wawa to Glen Mills. I work on the Septa RRD as an engineer and it passed me 1 day on the West Chester branch( The Official designation in our timetable) and I asked engineer on the rad...

I admit Septa has got to be very cheap but as someone pointed out we run the slowest trains in the country and we dont have the equipment to lay concrete ties. But irish not to get technical you can use wood and concrete ties together. On the northeast corridor most of the interlockings are still wo...

Hey guys, Im definately not a hard to get along with person. Im young so I tend to be a hothead but I am a railroader and a railbuff and whenever I do see buffs out on the train I do take time to talk and answer questions. Im didnt mean to go off on the deep end with the previous post. It was a roug...

Hey budman, you have it all wrong because Im not trying to quash any issue, Im trying to quash letting out company info when it comes to work pay and overtime and putting out train numbers that a certain crew works because i feel as though its really nobody's business so please dont take that the wr...

Well I dont think Mr. Mitchell that putting info out there about our pay hours and overtime is really anyones business but the crews themselves. Thats just my opinion and Im sure that will be shared by many of my co-workers....

Oh yeah North Wales was probably the last major rear ender but that was before Norac and that was before crews from both sides of the system was truly qualified on the entire system. I think he story went that it was a Pennsy crew running on the Reading side and mistaken a train order signal for a b...

Hey NJT are you a railroad engineer? If not then how about you keep your mouth shut ok? You might have hard feelings about Septa? Hey we all do. They make all of the worst decisions and yes they do run the railroad division as a bus stepchild but WE are railroad engineers. yes we run mostly Silverli...

Thank You Whovian well said. Also Mr. Mitchell you as one of the heads of DVARP should be concerned by what we are saying because we all as engineers want to run the train in a safe smooth way possible and not slamming on the brakes because the system autoroutes you instead of the dispatchers actual...
