I happen to be up but I will be going to sleep soon. If I wasn't so busy and tired, I would walk to the station even though it is very late. I won't be staying up this late on Saturday night because I need sleep before the excursion.

The day is chugging along. I have to decide whether if I will use 400 speed film or 200. I want to take slides. I think Saturday looks like to be the real washout. Sunday shouldn't be too much of one but it might not be perfect. Weatherman aren't always right as we know. Very nice pictures, Andy.
If heading out of NYC, sit on the left. If you don't want the sun in most of your pictures, go north in the morning. In most areas, the right of way runs due north. The right side is very good too especially viewing the marshes between PO and ALB.
I can't wait to see that unit. Does it have the same engine motor as an F59PHI?
One of septa's problems is that some of it's routes terminate within or just over the city limits of Philly. The NYC subway has some routes that travel more miles from midtown manhattan and still end up in the city. I wouldn't mind seeing service to the Lehigh region as well as to the Delaware coast...
Now that transit is taking over the clockers, Amtrak could free up extra cars for secondary corridors like the Keystone and Springfield-NHV shuttles.
Nick, I remember reading your post about the hassle. It is amazing about all the wierd rules since 9-11. When I was went by the bridge there, I actually went underneath to the other side. While I didn't have my camera, that is a good side to be on when the sun is in the west. I haven't photographed ...
When I was at Perth Amboy on Sat, I saw loads opf places from public property to take pictures especially from the Smith and Market overpasses. Never forget the Raritan Bay. I might come back there the day after thanksgiving.
I hope the weather is nice. I am looking forward to this. I saw the picture of that track damage. I laud the Houstatonic for their efforts and execution of fixing it. In addition, I cannot forget MN for planning this so well. I hope it doesn't rain. We've had enough of it.
I hope the trip can still happen. The important thing about the trip is to say goodbye to the cab units. It would be nice to see some rare trackage. I wouldn't mind going up to Waterbury. I have taken that line before and the scenery is pretty. Hopefully nothing was washed away on the Waterbury as t...
Sorry I wasn't there. I'm happy to hear that it went along well. I wish NJT would arrange something like that. I give credit to all the MN employees. I will make up my hours for not being here by going on the cab unit excursion.
That's a step in the right direction for folks southeast of Boston closer to the coast. I hope service to the Cape comes.
I indeed saw a PL42 sitting in Meadows. They look nice. I hope they perform well.
David,
Sorry I didn't know about asking that. Just asking a simple question. Please respond in a better way. I was asking is because I am anticipating crowds, as expected.
I will keep my eye out for freights whenever I am by the railroad in Perth Amboy tomorrow.
