An outbound Warminster train that came through Roslyn this afternoon around 4:10 was definitely not SLIV's. I was unable to get a visual but it sounded like a push-pull set.

Looks like more car storage business for CMSL.

This is from another chat board that I frequent and moderate, observed in Ashland, Va on 4/1: yesterday morning's unit tank train was K496, storage move to Tuckahoe, NJ

Good news that they're still putting effort into maintenance down there.

Rode the train to the AC Boat Show yesterday. The train was well patronized in both directions. The 3:29 to Philly was packed, even with an extra car. Looks like NJT is getting ready to embark on another tie replacement project as there were stacks of new ties along almost the entire route from AC t...

278 has been renumbered 144 and mated to 143. It's a long term project at Overbrook. 144 will be renumbered to 278 and potentially made a spare control car for the gel trains. It's amazing that they were able to salvage 144 at all, given the apparent damage from the fire. Obviously there was no fra...

NJ DOT owns the line between Tuckahoe and Cape May. CMSL leases the line and is most likely responsible for maintenance as the sole "tenant".

AFAIK, the bridge is functional. I'm sure it would need an inspection and maintenance before going into regular service and don't know if the Coast Guard requires anything on a regular basis as long as its in the open position. The more recent speeder trips have only operated TO the bridge but that m...

The bridge is fine. The problem is that they can't get any trains down there due to severe vandalism and damage to tracks and ties in Dennisville. There was additional vandalism in Middle Township but that wasn't quite as severe.

Just heard what sounded like a push-pull set coming through Roslyn at 11:14. Most likely a training run, hope they are returning to the Warminster line.

Bennitt Levin's Juniata Terminal is still very much connected to the NEC. The future of operations for the E8's is up in the air as they are not PTC equipped. I have no idea on the disposition of the unit in the picture but would guess that it was a parts donor.
