I have been aboard more than my fair share of European trains that had exceptionally bland aesthetics. The DB ICE-1 trainsets sport a paint job that is about as bland as anything ever conceived (white with a very basic red stripe). Not impressive at all and totally ignorant of the tremendous graphic...

That letter appears sufficient to bring this project to a dead halt. I realize the tribe is probably trying to protect their own economic interests but this is a dispute about the EIS. If what the tribe says is true (which it might not be) the FRA better hope and pray they have sufficient documentat...

No idea where it stands right now ... Bit after the latest billion dollar expenditure for this project and COVID it's probably going to be a while before we see the next major above ground improvement. The tunnel is clearly the priority now.
