I hope this works out for you. I think you'll just have to accept whatever they offer/require. It would be nice to be able to reclaim your original seniority date but I wouldn't hold my breath on that. Wishing you a long and safe career! Just a guess but it could be MR air from the DB interlock which had previously pressurized the actuation of the locomotive automatic brake.

As a side note, Westinghouse Air Brake (or whatever they call themselves now) has a 150 car test rack of full brake equipment, all in one room, at their Wilmerding, PA facility. It's a cool thing to play with, and one can simulate everything that would happen with a real train's brake system.
