I'm looking for some information for a book that I'm writing. I would like to know if anyone has employee timetables that cover Mayville, NY trackage that once belonged to the Jamestown, Westfield and Northwestern. The railroad itself was gone long before PC arrived, but I believe a bit of trackage ...

First, let me say that anyone that disagrees with me should be beaten like a pinata. OK, just kidding. Let me try to go post by post to clarify what I'm saying... Otto's Quote: ...you haven't explained how banning amateur photography will stop espionage. No one can stop surveillance...but don't beli...

The last three posts are missing the point entirely. I am not suggesting that in a peacetime society, pictures would have anything to do with moving freight. As I hope you all have noticed, we are not in a peace-time society. We are at war. This war may last our entire lifetimes. So, as some of you ...

Had to work a bit this weekend. I won't let it happen again! And thanks to all for an intelligent thread about a very important and emotional subject. And now, to the fun... I am somewhat trusting of the government...I recognize that there are things that are done that are absolute violations of our...

Dave, I certainly hope you can recognize the security issues with a car with illegal tint. I won't even explain that. But when in Afghanistan they get into a cave, find a computer and on it are hundreds or even thousands of images of American skyscrapers, or American tunnels, or American chemical co...

How heavy are these locomotives? Dimensions? Is this unit operable? Are there others worth saving? Is it using Engine technology that is easy to obtain, or, as I seem to recall, does it use a block and related materials that are no longer obtainable? I agree it should be saved...but who were its ori...

NS trains come on the WNYP at Meadville. The Allegheny and Eastern has nothing to do with the WNYP trains, or with the NS coal trains, aside from an occasional car for interchange. The NS trains start at Meadville and go off the WNYP at CP-CASS in Hornell, NY.

To Ken from above...in a bad accident I had (nothing to do with trains), the other driver was totally at fault. His insurance company paid, sure...and the maximum. Not him. Now, though, he can't get insurance, literally. So for several years, he'll be off the road...hopefully. It doesn't make a life...
