I saw the two cars that hit the platform in the side just east of Merlin Ave station in the siding on the north side. They were there with 2 mp15s. This was at 6pm today.

Why does Jamaica ash east of Westbury still have a switch? I have not seen a car or any signs of use in years and I am surprised the switch has not been pulled. Anyone know when they last had service?
Saw a MP15,single m3 sandite car, fire protection tank and a trailing MP15 going west through Jamaica at 530 this afternoon. I didn’t catch any car numbers.
They put these platforms up quickly but they look like they are temporary. Why didn’t they just continue the platform in concrete?
It looks like a company is unloading material from the rail cars into dump trucks. Does not appear to be lirr related.
