I agree, Ian regarding the PATH Kawasaki cars which were built at the same time as the 01700 Red Line MBTA cars. Although the 01700s are 34 years old so they are kind of due for retirement and definitely the 015/01600s which came from 1969/70, 51 years ago!

Yeah Ian, I also remember when the 01800s were coming in by truck to replace the antiquated 01400s, 27 years ago in early 1993 and it would b another year before they debuted. No I’m looking forward to the new CRRC red line cars hopefully they’ll be in service by the holiday season at least one or t...

I feel the MBTA Should receive a few of those Amtrak HHP *s for the Providence Line, They are still almost 2 decades old but work good

I guess they have to hold onto the older train cars in case more teething issues arise from the new cars again just a precautionary measure

In fact you may want to avoid the entire Southeast DC green line theres so much crime down that way

I hope they come back after September 30 they should be a total shame of the door failure

Oh that’s great news hopefully I can see out the front and back of those new trains too and including the redline

There is at least one 1600 control cab car still in use as such that can run in the Southside especially the Providence/Stoughton Line and elsewhere Southside. That would be control car 1649 since it was equipped with ACSES to enable it to be used down south. They should consider transferring 1649 t...

Any word on the Red Line CRRC traincars delivery, still none on T property as far as the RD CRRC cars are concerned

The door cab car should be locked as passengers should not be able to access it. On VRE they lock the cab car door. In the mornings, as the train heads north to DC, the trains are driven via the cab car as the locomotive is pushing the train. Sometimes I wish I could tell the engineer to stop drivi...
