Does anybody know if the final remaining 01400 trainset on MBTA premises is still at Codman Yard? It’s been there for five years already with an uncertain future.

Ok I see. Hopefully they’ll be built and finalized soon although I’m working remotely from home till July 1

Thats the same location that Amtrak uses for some of their rebuilds and it can be seen from the Northeast corridor. So It'll be very interesting to see an MBTA traincar there from the Amtrak Trains

Yes, they are. They were built from 2004-06 as far as the 900s are concerned, so in a few years theyll be up for rebuildi ng

I dont know, but for some reason, over the years since iut opened in 1976, Metro has been trenaming stations, like 1000 times already!

In fact, maybe they should make the Guiness Book of World Records for the most station renamings in a Rapid transit system SMH

Im glad the first 01900 Red Line trainset is finally in passenger operation. Bad news though: I just saw the NETransit MBTA Vehicle inventory and it says essentially that thats the only trainset on any MBTA property. All other 246 01900s are either being built or if completed, they still havent even...

I know I saw some photos and videos on Facebook regarding the new 01900s they were shown in the Quincy Center area and maybe they went all the way down to Braintree. Hopefully it’s a sign that they’ll be coming into service after the new year

Uh, I hope that maybe when this mess is over that they can resume production of these new trains :(

And BTA to ALB would be a bit uncomfortable after all with their seats, I'd also rather go there in Amtrak Style

I hope we get a second track put back on the B & A, to increase passenger service by the MBTA to Sprigfield or even to albany. That would be a real goal.

I like the MBB cars myself, and I think 1533 is still a cab control car, for now. As for the 1600s, some should be able to operate Southside especially the Providence line with PTC installed. But Itll be interesting when the MBBs will have their cabs removed and become blind trailer railcars. I also...
