Happened right near Main St. Marathon Boat Group is just south of the site of the derailment, I think. There's a new story up on WBNG's Web site now; details still pretty sparse. What's going on with the excavation on the house track in Ridgefield Park? The track's been pulled up in one spot approximately where the caboose used to sit, and this morning an excavator was digging out a huge hole and putting the dirt in a dump truck.

Does anyone know of a good resource - be it a website, a book, whatever - that I could check out to improve my photography specifically relating to trains/railroading etc? Like maybe there is a notable railfan photog out there who writes a blog or something? I'm usually underwhelmed by my shots and ...

Searching the web for this turned up nothing. And yet here's an entire page. And I even searched the forums for NYSW 18 as well, and saw nothing.

I stumbled across this photo on http://www.rrpicturearchives.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; last week on a slow day at work while searching for something else. Was there actually an NYSW #18? (The pic certainly suggests there was...) I haven't found any other reference ...

And I am at work after all anyway, so it is all for naught either way. Good to know it does make the rounds though; I've wondered about that for a while.
