Well, they have at least one tunnel at roseville to rework. I know they spent lot's of money already to study restoration of the cutoff. I wonder if any basic engineering work has been completed, such as a site survey. Do they know the actual condition of the ROW ? I am sure the neighbors will be su...

The main line track was still place near the signal at the Y in port Morris (several years ago). It was being used as an ATV track as far as I can tell. I am sure that signal mast will have to be scrapped, if it still there. BTW: This part of the cutoff has been modeled in MSTS along with most of Su...

Somewhere I have photos of the old signal system near Port Morris. The track is still in place there.

Could this be related to the Hoboken-Honesdale passenger service proposed by the M&E? Maybe they are doing some sort of proof of concept here.

They are talking about it over here on the M&E board.

Vestibule Confession: One time I used the Vestibule. I boarded at Newark Airport and it was too crowded. I had a bag and I did not want to take on the people. It was cool outside but I enjoyed the air and the space. If you were in the vestibule and the power went out (or other emergency), would the ...

You can also see a roof collapse at Newark Penn. ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9-eE0ydBac <----- I am not sure why but, I love riding the Arrow's . With this fleet aging, how much longer will we see them and wi...

Cool vid !! Have a look at this video of Newark Penn at rush hour.

You can see a mulit-level with 2 diesel,s in the lead of mutilevels waiting for the signal.

The train appears to "surge" foward but it must be some type of artifact.

The NYS&W engineers may not be qualified on the Morris and Essex. As a matter of fact, I have not see the NYS&W on any NJ Trains lines latley. The M&E is qualified on some transit lines to get around when required. Going North no doubt. Any one at UHRS knows more specifics about these cars?

It looks like operations have ended for now but no news of any change of ownership or bankruptcy. How much is an old box car worth these day’s anyway? Too bad, it was an interesting railroad. Wonder what will happen to the U boat. I remember rumors (yes on this board) that they were going to run pas...
