Noah, seeing as you also think only I deserve supporting information, I'm sharing your PM with the class... https://i.imgur.com/66Aua9u.jpg Thank you for correcting me on the Sand Road siding. I was unsure, as noted, and asked one of my lifelong friends that is a manager for Century. He confirmed th...

Okay, then tell us, what industry exists between BD in Canaan and Boardman's Bridge? Repeating "INCORRECT" over and over does nothing to add anything of value to this discussion. I took the time to back up the statements in my response, so can you.

I'm going to give Mr. Norman the benefit of the doubt and assume he meant between the Danbury area and Canaan, because between Boardman's Bridge and the engine house in Canaan, the only industry is BD. As far as I know, the siding by the small pit on Sand Road in Falls Village is just a storage trac...

I know there are several obstacles that would prevent this, but I think it would be cool if Metro-North and Amtrak traded a couple slots so a couple Empire trains could run to GCT and some Metro-North trains run to NYP in exchange. Pure foamer fantasy, but there are times I would rather take Amtrak ...

Snow birds would imply they pack up and head to Florida for the winter at the first sign of frost lol

*sarcasm* Turboliners go through emergency refurbishment and converted to run on overhead, AEM-7's and ALP's get pulled from the dead line, and HHP8's are reinstated. GG1's are sourced from museums around the country and the E60 from PA gets reactivated. *sarcasm* Sorry Jeff, I couldn't resist LOL :P

I believe they also had issues with the Westinghouse units and the GE units not playing nice with each other adding to their lack of higher speed running as well

I picked up a set each of CT DoT and Metro-North on their prior run. They're really fantastic models, light years beyond the old Walthers ones. I even sold off my old Walthers ones to help pay for the pre-order LOL.

I meant the Genesee & Wyoming, and just gave the Berkshire & Eastern as an example, but could see either the P&W or the B&E taking over. The current super convoluted, kinda sorta interchange is with the P&W via Derby, but I'm not sure what the status of that is with the track bei...

And actually if you look up current imagery on Google Maps you can see that apparently some of the actual trackage between Martindale and Chatham was never torn up, just abandoned. You’ll have to retrace it with a diligent eye to spot them, but they do exist. Perhaps some older imagery will yield c...

I honestly have a hard time seeing the line get extended even as far as Millerton. They just finished paving and connecting the Wassaic-Millerton portion of the trail with the Copake leg not terribly long ago, so I see a move to reclaim the ROW going over like a fart in church. Also, Millerton has a...

With G&W basically running every other freight railroad in CT, I could see the Housy ending up as part of the Berkshire & Eastern at some point. As far as freight potential on the Beacon, I don't see it happening. It's such a hilly circuitous route with maybe a couple pockets of potential cu...

It blocks throttle power from being applied unless certain conditions are met, usually all doors closed and brakes in a release state.

I was under the impression that Metro-North cab signalling had more signal/speed aspects than just those three?
