GG-1 - Timeless style, and very successful machine.

DD-1 - Another success story for the Pennsy, and outlasted the L-5's which were ment to replace them.

Mine is the E-6s 4-4-2. Next are the G-5s 4-6-0 and the K-5 4-6-2. I kitbashed an excellent model of the E-6s in HO scale by combing the chassis from the Bowser kit with the boiler, cab, and tender from the Roundhouse kit. I'm toying with the idea of building a K-5 by combining the boiler and cab fr...

I have a pair of them. They run fine. I added DCC to them, and reversing lights. They also pull very well.

Pilots - the FEF-2 has a GSC drop-coupler pilot, while the FEF-3 has a GSC swing-coupler pilot (same as used on the 3985 and BigBoys).

I don't understand why thay didn't call it an EMD SD95MACe :( . BNSFrailfan. Probably because of marketing. By keeping the model designation similar to the previous 70 series potential buyers may not be too "gun-shy" about the changes. Look at the Union Pacific's situation. After getting ...

If you drive on Ocean Avenue (just west of Bally's) as you go under the railroad you will cross rails still embedded in the road.

Also, just to nit-pick, in Nassau County Montauk Highway is called Merrick Road. I grew up in Merrick, and am proud of my town's namesake road.

The kits are basically like the Hobbytown of Boston kits. The biggest difference is that Tiger Valley uses a softer metal, so its easier to file. The kits can be purchased: Completely unassembled; unassembled except for the drive; assembled - ready for paint; assembled - painted and lettered. Obviou...

"Officially" the name "Baby Train-Master" only referred to those H16-66 built in the Train-Master style carbody.

As for why EMD isn't testing any SD70DCe/SD70M-2, that's probably because the only significant change for the DC drive model is the prime mover. On the AC units, there is also the factor of the new invertors (as mentioned before). And would some please tell EMD to go back to the previous cab style. ...

I've built three of his kits. They take some work but do come out reasonable. C-424 CP Rail (modern air filters). Old kit (1984) brass wheels, cogged-belt drive.
