Last I heard 4.25 miles of track have been laid on the Cutoff so far. Hopefully they restart work next year.

All I can say is: Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish! I didn't hear many good things about them. I always wondered, why did Amtrak keep them on property for so many years even though they weren't using them?
