Hicksville still has customers. They gets gondolas and tank cars. I either see the yard full of cars or completely empty.

I don’t think they will make it though more than one snow storm. Who is going to shovel the shoulder for pedestrians now that they can’t plow to the edge of the road? I appreciate the attempt but maybe stiffer fines and penalties for the distracted and idiots who drive on the tracks would be a bette...

I think riders from the port Jeff beach diesel territory are loosing out as well. I like the one seat ride to hunters point and then switching to the subway. Once esa is complete I will now have to do an additional transferable from my understanding hunters point will be closing.

It was kinda of a mess. I took the 340 from hunterpoint to port jeff and it was over an hour late. Perhaps its time they cut back some trees along the row as they were hitting the train the entire way. Also they had to stop at lots of grades crossing because of issues with the gates. Yes the snow wa...

This was the second time I was on a PJ train and it took this route. Last time was about a year ago if not longer on a Sunday and they had that MOW accident near New Hyde Park. They switched directions in Babylon and Hicksville.

I feel they should put the resources into painting the more visible MP15 fleet. The Jamaica protect engine always looks horrible. It really make me feel like the railroad takes no pride in how they maintain their equipment.

I took the 5:12 to Port Jeff from Hunterspoint. At Jamaica they changed the route and went nonstop to Babylon, then to Hicksville, then all stops to Port Jeff. Took 4 hours to get from Hunterspoint to Port Jeff. Train was completely packed. They handled the situation. It looks like none of the suspe...

Isn't this the same engine that NYA just repainted before they returned it? Dont really like it I would have thought they would repaint some of those MP15s first.

Great photo. I miss the times when the railroad actually took pride in the way their equipment looks.

Are they actually going to fix any of the issues? Do they really need a survey to know that the communication is horrible, switches, signals and amtrak are the fault of all the delays and all the diesel coaches seats are covered with duct tape?
