My mail truck. I’ve been delivering mail on this route for the past 20 years. I’m retiring in 6 months and going into seclusion lol
Just uploaded a video from Friday the 9th at the Cedar Bridge Crossing in Lakewood. Great work crew!

It was 2005 followed by 752, Got to Woodhaven at noon with 10 centerbeams and one tank. They’re still switching.
Here’s a map of the interchange area dated 1915.
Yeah, I heard RB-1 heading north out of Lakewood early in the afternoon with a boatload of horn blowing at the crossings. Tried to post it here but my phone crashed due to poor Verizon reception (no surprise). I assume they got the situation on the Woodhaven siding resolved.
It’s really a shame this happened but I’m not very surprised. I’ve heard from first-hand accounts over the past couple years of people pulling out spikes from the ties south of route 9 with their bare hands for scrap value and some other uses. Rails have been quiet all morning here in Lakewood.
The even bigger question is.... where are they sending their sand now? They can't just be sitting and waiting for the rail line to open. How many present truck customers could be switched to rail service from Clayton? That would give a good indication.
Some clarification - I meant when construction is put on hold then demand for materials from Woodhaven stops as well.
I was referring to the Woodhaven flat bed trucks full of house-building lumber and pre-fab trusses.
No construction means no demand and no throughput of lumber.
Their religious protocols require that no manual labor be done on any Jewish-held property during the holy days or the sabbath. It's funny, usually during their holidays the County comes in and does a ton of road work while the traffic is manageable. Contractors, landscapers and deliveries are all s...
Practically all construction in Lakewood has stopped for the past week because of the Jewish holiday. That could be the reason for no Friday train to Woodhaven.
Haven’t seen or heard a thing from RB-1 today in Lakewood.
