I thought it was 15-15 from CP212 to CP235 and 29-29 from there to the Division Post.

Only train that has been detoured was the Northbound Juice train that ran via Hagerstown. Rumor has it that track will be back in service about Midnight + or-. Traffic resumed going through this morning from what I've heard. I heard BE dispatcher giving an EC-1 to Q031 to go across the Belt Line an...

Re: MARC Trains to add weekend service

Service looks good, but I still think MARC is selling travelers short with a 1030 last call. I guess weekend Nats games are in the daylight, but there could be games at the Verizon center not to mention just general clubbing and other events. Is any of the cut weekday service being restored? The ot...

I did recognize a few familiar crew members who went over to Bombardier so it seems quite a handful did transition over. The one thing I did heard on the scanner feeds for the Brunswick Line was the change from the CSX train IDs over to MARC train IDs albeit some engineers were still in the habit of...

Not much word on the contract for the craft employees at the Riverside or Brunswich service centers. All we know is that CSX is abolishing all our jobs. As for a Machinist at River side there is 15 of us and they are abolishing all our jobs, then going to post 5 jobs to work a service truck for CSX...

I was looking at the Thanksgiving schedule myself and they did trim back on the holiday extras. I'm surprised that they only have them on Sunday when in previous years they ran on Thanksgiving and the Sunday afterwards. I'm definitely going to be tuning into both the Baltimore and Wilmington radio f...

Wow this is surprising. I still think Amtrak would have made the most sense, but Bombardier should do well. They seem to have a decent record in Toronto and at the MBTA in Boston. At least its not Herzog. I wonder who the two companies were who had their proposals rejected and withdrawn. I thought ...

The award is for both operations and maintenance.

I saw both the Pacific Cape and Beech Grove on 91 this afternoon at Alexandria. I took some video of PO91 leaving Alexandria.

Too bad they didn't consider Keolis like VRE has. Keolis have been doing a good job lately keeping VRE OTP at over 95%. Their are reports of some friendly conductors and rude conductors on VRE They were considering Keolis but the they had that whole look into their connections with SNCF and the Hol...

I was talking to one of the CSX conductors this morning on the Camden Line and he told me that Amtrak is going to start running the Camden and Brunswick Lines starting January 2013. I haven't heard official word about the contract being awarded to Amtrak to operate those services, but I'm sure somet...

Interestingly enough, down here on the NS, Amtrak #171 and #176 are referred to as 013 and 014 respectively(but on CSX they are P171xx and P176xx, xx being the date), while #19 and #20 retain their Amtrak symbols(019 and 020). Not sure of the reasons why though..... My own PM deadhead move to DC is...

Amtrak Train Symbols on Foreign Roads

I've been wondering about this for a while, but does anybody have any information about what train IDs other railroads assign Amtrak trains. I only know of how CSX and NS does for trains (CSX Pxxx and Amtrak 0xxA), but what about for CN/IC, BNSF, UP, and any other foreign roads Amtrak trains travel ...

Did it have the 9800?
I'm not sure. I was going up the escalator when it was pulling off. I think it had 5 coaches and there was an HHP-8 pulling it.
