One thing for sure about the Steamship Bus connection from Buzzards Bay to Woods Hole is that it hurt ridership and turned people away from the FLYER. Not sure how reasonable it would be, but there is a new AC Marriot at Cleveland Circle. It overlooks the D line and the Reservoir car yard.

One small tweak this year is the café car is in the middle of the set and it has been rotated 180 compared to the previous years.

Geography also plays a role as the Cape FLYER gets to Buzzards Bay and the canal in 1:20 from South Station and a lot of people get off at this stop. A Jersey Flyer would have a much higher percent of riders getting off at Cape May with a longer run time.

On another website I saw pictures of the Rail Fest in 1996 and 1997 in Hyannis. Mix of equipment with some unique consists from the Cape Cod Railroad and MBTA. What were the details of these events? How did they come about and why only two years? Did trains go down to the Cape with passengers?
