Nice Model. The paint job is better than the building has ever seen.
I am a little creeped out, that you have a model of the place I work in your basement.

Do you know why the corners of the building are round?

Thanks for the picture.

CNYK is a sub of the Delaware & Otsego. CNYK is a paper only railroad.
NYSW is a sub of the Delaware & Otsego.
So NYSW has right to use the CNYK from Port Jervis to Bingo, through the parent organization the D&O.

Post a pic of your mock up, would love to see it. We finally got the Perdue Logo up on the mill, they have only owned it for 10 years. NYSW's Dirty Dirt trans load has ended, there have not been any of those cars in the yard since early fall. Still lots of hoppers of plastic pellets for National Pip...

Agway, now 13 years later, Perdue, is a Blending Facility. We bring in multiple different products, blend them, and ship them to other feed mills. We do not currently receive anything by Rail, all Trucks. We did receive Blood meal by Rail, it was trans loaded in Iowa, but the Blood Co. lost it rail ...

How many of an average sized Car does an Auto Rack carry?
Son and I sat at crossing last night, and had a debate about this, while waiting for train to pass.

Thanks

First, I am a big supporter of the railroad, I have ridden it with my family in both Phoenicia, and Kingston. I was at one time a volunteer also. But.... 30+ years ago CMRR blew their opportunity with this rail line. If they had been running trains from Kingston to Highmount, from the 80's till now,...

NYSW crews are installing a new track from the yard by the baseball stadium, over the Robinson street bridge, through the Bevier Street Yard, and all the way to Old state Road. Essentially double tracking from the yard to old state road. They have completed the work from Old state Rd to Bevier stree...

I got my answer from the railroad, it does not have a coupler that meets the correct standards.
So we will have to put it on a truck.

Can a trackmobile be moved by rail, as part of a freight?

I need to move mine from Upstate New York to North Carolina.

Herzog Hoppers with Solar Panels on Top

This morning in Binghamton, a Unit train came north on NS through Conklin, it was all Herzog Hooper Cars.
I wrote down one number, HZGX 10131.
One front and back edges of the every one of the hoppers was a pair of solar panels.

What the !@#$% are solar panels doing on open hopper cars?
