So CMQR did not purchase the Derby facility?? I thought that through the bankruptcy , MMA was to be sold as one complete system?? not busted up and sold piece by piece to the highest bidder. I thought that MMA had to sell everything when they went into bankruptcy?? Something smells funny here. What d...

I kind of expect Irving to own it with in the next couple years. Searsport will have to open up big for freight in the next year or two because is supposedly MMA is losing money

everyday

New company name?? How about "Rail of the misfit Trains"!

I believe it was Iron Roads that went through bankruptcy at that time, not the B&A. Why is it that it is always mentioned as the Bankrupt B&A and not Iron Roads. Those were the people that run the old B&A 's name down and into the ground.

Wondering if LLC will be replacing the existing MMA management staff with some of their own people?? I wouldn't think they would dare not to. It appears that MMA is still struggling on running {in a efficient and organized way} what little traffic they are moving now.

So, is it possible that US district court could refuse to go on with the finalizing of this sale to Fortress?? or is it automatically a hands down win for Fortress just because they were the highest bidder for the MMA US and Can. company?? My own personal opinion is that between the other two compan...

The BD newspaper said that there was multipal bidders on Friday but was not informed on who were the bidders. They will no more by the end of this week.

How does someone that did work for the MMA ,but not now, find out all this information about all these bad order locomotives with these precise defects . Was possibly a manager of some sort, my guess.

Lets just say the engineer was getting close to the end of his 12 hr shift. He then notified dispatch and they told him to proceed to where he initially stopped and tied it down. He had just enough time to make it to this point and apply the amount of handbrakes that was found left on the train. He ...

So, the MMA US and CAnada side can be sold seprately ?? And to the Highest bidder? . Just hope the court system takes in consideration that the highest bidder won't necessarily mean that the railroad will then be run the way it should have been right along. The public safety deserves this alone. I fe...

Mr.Norman, I agree with you completely when you said that there was an absence of management that evening of July 6,2013. Sad to say that the MMA is trying to put all the blame on the engineer of that train when I believe a proper investigation will provide the answer and will not be blaming the eng...

The newly appointed trustee says they will put on 2 man crews if they get the funding? guessing that they are strapped with minimum income coming in with what little freight they are probably hauling. So, I have been told that there is only 4 engineers still working there, and are one man crews only...

I'm surprised it wasn't in the Bangor Daily Newspaper before they informed the employees. I expect to see it in there this week sometime. All I can say is its the truth.

The word is out. That's it. MMA is shutting down! They can no longer move any freight west bound. Now, the waiting game to see how much of a squeeze this will have on their wallet before someone throws in the towel.

How will CP strike affect MMA?

Heard that CP is on strike. So , how extensively is this going to affect MMA's freight movement ? MMA was supposed to start hauling the extra freight of crude oil first of june. What bad timing for MMA again.
