they started cutting the road Tuesday
Drove by the yard Monday am and saw what appeared to be an MBTA Engine sitting outside the engine house. did not get a number as it caught me by surprise. it appeared to be a GP 40 MAC. It was definitely not one of here locos. sitting there. when I came home later that night it was not visible.
There is somewhere back in the messages, a thread (possible on the P&W Thread) about the HHRC not fixing there end of the track From Danbury to Derby Jct. P&W filed complaints, and not sure where it went.
A drive by the yard in Quincy yesterday showed track work taking place near the unguarded entrance. it appears that they are taking up 2 of the 3 stub tracks. only the one closest to the road was left and that had cars stored on it. unknown company doing the work. also the Maroon Engine was outside ...
I believe they are there has been a scrap ship in there a lot lately even holding up the Gas ship.
Temple St, West Boylston all 8 are dirty dirt cars. Pictures on the West Boylston Fire Dept FB page. going to be a couple of days to fix this track. the train is also blocking Temple st, RTE 140, in west Boylston and Boylston. according to reports it will be closed for at least several hours.

Great pictures also
RE cars Being returned to be refilled, sometimes the rail road is waiting for paperwork form the party who has them, or form the owner to move them to there next destination. sometimes they can sit for a week to 10 days waiting for paperwork. once the paper work is all set its up to the railroad to ...
Where did this engine come from? was this the one that was at Edaville and Moved by rail back in the 90's
On Monday, The 7750 was outside next to the shop, near the caboose (at 0530) on return the 102 was in its place Cab away form the Street. (1915) Not sure if they went to Braintree yard or not
the tank cars go to Proctor and Gamble the covered gons and the other cars go to the MWRA. Most of the yard has tanks. Proctor and Gamble gets at least 10-15 cars a day M-F. Fridays they get more than normal to get them through the weekend.
I assume this engine is drained and shut down when not in use ?? if so how much water/ coolant is needed to fire this engine up every time??
17 spent most of the fall in side the engine house. unknown what was done or why. as of last Tuesday DEC 27 she was back outside on the RIP track. could not tell which engine was outside near the front door. I would assume plugged in. the other 2 where inside.
If P&W 4301 was along for the ride it most likely means either it was returning an empty Ethanol train or going to pick up a full train. (not sure which way is which) with this rail road.
if memory serves correct, PAR only has 2 or 3 engines that can operate over the Springfield line. that is why they leased 2 P&W engines because there's where not available
