Re: Forced to join a Rail Union?

I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't run, not walk to the union once they have joined a railroad. On top of all the schemes that the company may play, any job where there is a connection with dealing with members of the general public is highly volatile. They will lie up and down and be pitied for a ...

Just visually, it appears as if the rails are very light, especially for a curve like that, particularly if it's as reported that the train was travelling at a good clip.

I thought that they were very specific, giving general directions of where they were reconstructing, dates and prices of when they would be running. They've also been advertising the manufacture of a steam loco ! C'mon, we thought that Edaville was dead ! These aren't the Flyer Deadheads- give them ...

I'll stay with good. "Chinatown" and "Vertigo" were great movies. Not a slam on the movie because of it's time, a short subject. For "greatness", I would want to be drawn into Dad and Daughter prior to this incident to see how they reacted and felt to accidents, death, ...

Both the NYCTA and the LIRR took production credit; surprising since one scene depicts the murder of a uniformed TA employee. The Yards I wasn't so surprised about the murder as I was about the films apparent theme of corruption in shops, as advertised on the link's banner. Some institutions are ve...

There is already a post up under the same title regarding this little movie under the MBTA Rail Operations Group. Since there are 139 hits there and only 16 here, perhaps it might not be a good idea to merge this into that ?

Good movie, realistically portrayed with the event which as you say, is an event which we see happening all to often lately. (The only thing that irked me frankly, was them referring to the Operator as a Conductor continually- Aaaaaaa!!!!!) I read it as two persons being effected by an incident diff...
