He and other board members were sympathetic to complaints that a company should not be able to simply buy an old railroad siding and call itself a railroad to evade local regulations. If the NYS&W owns the facilities...then it was their siding to begin with and they are still the railroad hauli...
Last time I was up there chasing there were a lot more than 10 and that was back in March. Those were some of the first cars that were used in hauling the C&D out of NJ. I believe they were sidelined due to a different braking system/part but I cant remember the exact reason.
Some of these trains have taken over 24 hours to get from Syracuse to NJ... I dont think CSX is going to be all that impressed with that one. I'm not trying to start anything here...but. Some trains may have taken over 24 hours to get from Syracuse to Little Ferry but given the circumstances I thin...
Wow this works out good for I will be home for spring break on March 9th! Nothing more wild and crazy then chasing stacks on the NYSW.
Sparta Mountain, and SD-9's? Now THAT would be hillariousHaha and chances are the managers down on the Southern Division would use them as helper units!
Depending on the day you can see one road train each way normally early in the morning (east) and late at night (west)...dont really know the schedule as well since im out at school. But some weeks it can be three days a week up to five days a week And i dont know if a bridge over the tracks by the ...
hahahaha!
Occasionally loaded autoracks from i think Hertz. Not 100% sure though.
They are gone again becuase the NYSW cant handle them in a time efficent manner. When you have empty autoracks sitting on the Southern Tier for a day or two I dont think CSX likes it to much.
Looks pretty good.
When I try to click the link I get a login page. Anyway you can host it somewhere else? I would really like to see it.
I second Edison Rd actually...even for westbounds too especially on colder winter nights. The sound of the dynamic braking is amazing. Also if you look railroad east you can see the headlights through the trees at one point when they are traveling west.
My spots would have to be Old Rudetown Rd. in Vernon or ZINC up in Franklin. And over the summer its always fun to catch a train while im working at Great Gorge in Vernon since the line cuts the golf course in two!
It certainly looks a little bit icy up there!
