Amtrak tried to have a dedicated ROW radio system for onboard internet. its still got the towers up. it goes from claymont DE to newark DE. it doesnt work anymore, but it was much better idea. And yes, the internet works better in the cafe car, right from the modem to you.

ANd what year was that? The acela trainsets started getting onboard wifi equipment as far back as 2008, and it came out to the public in 2010.

Thats so funny. We run those trains in testing weekly at 160-165 mph. Ive operated it at 160mph. Im not sure what this whole computer model thing is about. The tracks are def a problem.

Was just at Adams yard today. The one set that is on power is slowly loosing its lighting. The other set looks really terrible with the paint.

TWo sets are in adams yard. There is one set connected to wayside 480 and has been lit up for the last 3 years. One of these days, it will be a ball of fire.

The loop is canceled, it will only be for jersey ave trains. Once this is done, the replacement of the entire landscape of jersey ave yard and station will change
