Thanks CarterB. The company my father worked for built the elevated portion of the Nickel Plate in the mid-fifties. I just wanted to be sure which track it was.
Does anyone have a picture of the old Pennsylvania Railroad Bridge that crossed the Muskingum River at Marietta, Ohio? The bridge was built in 1915 and does not show up on Google Earth.
I'm not sure that I have the right forum, but, I couldn't find one that said the Grand Trunk Pacific. My grandfather worked for the construction company that built all the bridges from Edmonton, Alberta to Prince Rupert, British Columbia (a distance of 700 miles). I am trying to find pictures of the...

The Railway Age Gazette, Volume50, 1911 states that Bates & Rogers "pierced" a 650 Foot tunnel under Front Street in Spokane, Washington. I have looked everywhere, but, I can't find any more information on this tunnel. Has anybody heard of this tunnel? Another article I found said it w...
There is a viaduct that crosses Walnut Creek just to the west of Erie, Pa. on the Norfolk Southern. Is this the Viaduct they call "Thornton Junction Viaduct"?
