Any sign of 185 lately?
People claim that exhaust is in thier clothes. I think they're exagerating just a bit. I've never had exhaust in my clothes. I also think that they're overdoing it at Olgilvie since it's not an enclosed station. At CUS lets pass some of the buck to Amtrak. Every engine seems to be running on full HE...
They never had PA's, but they did have a DL109.
1275 is now IAIS 400.
The F40's are being rebuilt because of money, or lack of.
There is a reset button in the control car for the HEP, but ig the T.L.C. has to be bypassed then somebody has to go to the engine.
And where are you going to put the trains at LaSalle St? There's no room for what they have now. And the two mains between LaSalle and 75th are going to be awfully crowded.
They should have held 829 at 143rd, and ran me (833) around him, then had him follow me to 179th. Actually the should have DOUBLE-HEADED 105 FOR ABOUT A WEEK. Com on mechanical, what's wrong with you? Here's another tip: REMOVE THE COMPUTERS AND THE ENGINE WILL RUN JUST FINE. They ran the first 33 y...
105 took it's first trip (solo) on train #825 last night.
105 & 115 are in the BN pool. 115 was 2nd out on a double-header going to Aurora last night.
At 4PM 105 was on track 1B facing east at 14th St. At 9PM it was facing west outside the shop.
All I know is that at one time the 400's were doing 36, 37, and sometimes 3800 hp. Now you're lucky to get 3100 HP.
The F40C's don't have a computer, so I don't know the true HP. But both 611 & 614 ran very well.
In the last month I ran several of the 400's. None of them made it over 3100hp. Gotta wonder if the hp was tweeked down on purpose. And why?
The 400's also ran on the GM&O when there was a derailment at 16th St. on the rock. All Rock trains were anulled until late afternoon. So the HC ran 9 car trains to pick up the slack, which happened to have 400's.
