So they will extend 426/427 to Keag?
M426-427 is going to change crews at Ayer now?
So far all the rail coming to Maine has been new 136# rail. With the exception of rail dropped at Rigby.
Looks like some signal system upgrades coming. There are about 25 or so new signal boxes sitting at Rigby as of today.
Guess the question is why are so many people leaving? Worse working conditions? Bad management? New contract?
Looks like the new milepost at Biddeford was uncovered. So MP212 will become MP 27.
They did a tie job,now dumping ballast.
I believe its being used as the MOW office now.
Who knows.Maybe we'll see the old B&M interlocking names again..
If Yard 8 was converted into an intermodel yard, instead of being sold,It would have been a good size terminal. At least 3 or 4 tracks up to 4500 feet long or more.
New ones right across from the old.
I noticed today there are bagged milepost near Berwick to Wells and beyond.
Under the grant that PAR got CTC was supposed to be extended to Leeds Jct. Has that changed?
I drive for a big carrier.Again, only the top speed is governed. You set the cruise control and go.It does not adjust the speed to save fuel.We have 5 minute idle auto shut downs and other means of fuel savings, but our top speeds are not affected. If they were we would never get our runs done in a time...
Big difference.Governors set a maximum speed for the truck,65 to 70 depending on the company. They don't slow you down to 60 or 50 or 40mph to conserve fuel.
