Good to hear, its a very good game, at least most think so, there are many yards available, and yards come open weekly. If you need any help there are plenty to help by email and chat.

I have seen one of these when they replaced signals on the Illinois Sub Vincennes to St Louis Line. I wonder if it is not some sort of effort at progressing towards the future for PTC, or if it is related to having ATCS.
Thanks guys, sorry for the incorrect information, must have been a poor informed instructor I had.
Yes, we were told by the instructor in the BIT and CIT class that the railroad screws up often in where you are so make sure you brace your wife for this, as you could end up getting calls at home, when you are on the road. So expect the confusion.
Looking for specifically trains that the UP originates/terminates at the following Yards.
Lesperance St UP Yard
UP 12th Street Yard. Along with Any others in the St Louis area of MO.
Keep in mind that as I was told by an instructor from UP, several years ago, not sure when, but UPS, was owned by Union Pacific, so UP does have some package handling experience. Also note that DHL is suddenly making a comeback. I have been seeing the yellow/red vans appear again. Maybe DHL is UP wi...
This will give you some locations of crossings and their milepost ID numbers, should help you out quite a bit and point you in the direction of the mileposts, should be able to look at a google map or other map and place the milepost locations on a map. http://safetydata.fra.dot.gov/OfficeofSafety/p...
Training pay is based on union agreements, and depends on the service unit/ negotiated earnings. I know that in that in the past, OJT pay was the same as classroom pay, without the extra money covering your food expenses as it does while in BIT class. You are paid for the days you work. So if you do...
Which should be closed or closing soon.
When I was working for UP back int 2007 before the great layoff, we had an engineer who was off waiting on a southbounder, he thought it would be a good time to walk the locos and check fuel. It was the middle of the night, the passing southbound train, arrived faster than anticipated and he was fou...
Do you have to hang on to a boxcar for 5 minutes and stuff like that? UP has a static hang test in their agility testing, I did it on a machine, which was attached to my chest to measure my breathing and heart rate, and following the test they checked my blood pressure, I stood on a ladder a few st...
Nope didn't but I will check it out again. Thanks.
That does give me some insight into the operations thanks much!
I have noticed that along the IL Sub they have been replacing signals over the past year, they have also cleaned the right of way, put balast along the accesses to the signals and more. Is CSX up to something on the IL Sub? The reason I ask is because they have even repaired road crossings with more...
It is wrong, and it seems that nearly every industry has been having problems, transportation via rail and the automakers and suppliers were hit the hardest but with this cash for clunkers going well and Ford beating out Toyota in sales in July, we might see more jobs back again.
