Any possibility of MN rehabbing this station for New Haven Line-Penn station access? No. The plans that have been out there show a new station at Hunts Point. There is/was a plan/pipe dream to split this structure in half. The tall portion would become an entrance to the Bronx River Park (Starlite ...

I didn't think about those other Harlem capacity projects mentioned. It looks like Brewster Yard can be expanded. It's been a while since I rode the Harlem Line north of North White Plains. What benefits would the new signalling system do to the Harlem Line altogether, even if the third track doesn...

Hate to blow a hole in your dreams, But IIRC the Park Avenue tunnel is not tall enough to string catenary wire in it. There is also no more room to lower the floor of the tunnel as that as was done in the early 1990s and there is an obstruction

If Siemens were to be removed from the project, would another company have to start from scratch? Or could they use parts already installed, or are the different companies systems incomaptible?

The Metro North and CDOT owned(229-232) genesis units still work fine and I don't really see the point in retiring them just yet. I guess you have missed posts here and on other forums where Metro North Genesis units have sat out of service for a year awaiting parts that GE no longer supports or wa...

Is there any standard in respect to how strong the mounting of the window to the car body is? If I recall correctly, in the 2013 Metro North crash at Spuyten Duyvil, at least two of the four fatalities was found to have been ejected out of the windows of the Shoreliner coaches. How would a larger wi...

Eliminating seats facing each other will not eliminate the problem. Even when they sit it the normal 3 across/2 across groups like that will continue to be loud if they are traveling in groups of more than 5. they will yell across multiple seats to talk to each other.
