Forgot to ask, where was the diamond as I remember that from the mid seventies when a group of us went to check it out. Somewhere between Jay and Hague?
It was a summer evening and only because I was with the group I got to see it as I would not go to that neighborhood alone back then.
Nice catch!
Looks like they switch out Boxhart St.
Do wonder how/when they do the empty hopper pick up from the West yard.

Thank you Mr. Smith! Until I recently retired, while working in the White City area, once in a while I could hear the horns blowing for the grade crossing. There were times when I would hear it almost every day and then nothing for weeks. I know why I haven't heard much last summer with the tie repl...
No idea! (Assuming you meant 'were'...) Vaguely remember seeing what looks like an airport but was busy trying to find my way with the Sunday drivers!
On the way to Horseheads Sunday (10/13) somewhere east of Corning, spotted an eastbound work train with orange/red equipment. Tried to get off I-86 ahead of the train but it was moving way faster than I thought so didn't get a picture of it. (Couldn't get back on the same exit without serious back t...
Wonder what they plan on doing with the utilities line going across the river at the base of the current bridge? Relocate and move it all up to under deck of new bridge? Any rate, must be small portion for the reason of the hefty price tag for the new bridge. https://www.dot.ny.gov/divisions/operati...
Friday the 25th, as I headed out to Greece on an errand, saw former KP #3 by the control tower near a string of snow covered coal hoppers. On the way back about 40 minutes later, the hoppers were in theyard onthe west side of the CSX/R&S branches. #3 was south of the tower on the second track wes...
Didn't know if anybody would be interested with these photos but thought I'd post them anyways. Does anyone know what the gondolas were for? There's still a wood pile and the dumpster there. Seems to be too many cars for any soil removals (they had removed soil on east approach, put those 'plastic'-...
Would love to see a sequence scan/copy of all the Christmas cards for that matter. Have seen a few but not all of them.

Question: does the Kodak power plant have enough coal stockpiled for now? Or has switching moves changed? And what about Lidestri Spirits-do they have daily movements or?? Reason I asked is I had been hearing the whistle almost on a daily basis this past summer and fall. Only recently I haven't hear...
Since I haven't figured out how to use the quotes.... Just want to thank Nessman for posting a link to the document from 2001: Memster1 for the photo of the alcos on the bridge; and BR&P for the story to go with it! Have the day off and some more pictures. Do note details such as the gears place...

Know this is old news but took a while to process/weed out 674 pictures (not sure how that happened!) in between job and other things.
