There is a big difference between being practical and being negative, a problem that has plagued this island for many, many years. I am no longer involved with or represent any of the groups on LI, but I was there and did my share to put W93 back in service, I know what it needs, and its not practic...

W93 is 64 years old. Its tired. Yes, its operable, but its tired. The right side has some pretty significant damage as well from when it pegged the boulder and spun it around in Eastport?. Fact is, there is a reason Jordan stopped making air machines in 1960, there is newer, and better spreader tech...

The most common type burned residential, is of course Anthracite. The most common size was Range, which is a mix of nut and pea sized coal. This was done in the retailers yard, as coal came by rail one size at a time. Theres almost a dozen different sizes of anthracite. Another thing is the yard wou...

I will start a debate. The bearings dont matter. Its up to the Railroad. When C60 was moved to the transit authoirty it was subject to an FRA speed restriction (15mph) due to the bearings. Not to mention the lack of people on the railroad that knows how to deal with them anymore... When C60 made it ...

A new black paint job is well in progression, however not much more will be done until warmness comes back. Were planning to do a full on restoration, all new oak windows and fra...
