Not only does Strasburg have an interchange with NS, during the summer months they have been operating steam mixed freight trains where up to twelve people can ride for $15 per person, first come, first serve, in the caboose during the approximately one hour long trip. Info can be found at http://ww...

In my opinion, you can't get better than the Railroad Museum of PA, the Strasburg Railroad, and Amtrak's Keystone Corridor's last grade crossing at Irishtown Road (if it's still open, that is). A bit farther off, visiting the Rockville Bridge north of Harrisburg is always fun! Tim MP HP99 - Norfolk ...

Media says "all 6 cars derailed", yet I only see 5.
VIA Rail official press release on their site says five cars and the locomotive, and that all involved are derailed.

My prayers with the victims and my condolences for the families of the employees!

Anyone have a timetable and/or rulebook from the QNS&L since they've gone to one-person train operations? I'd be interested to read their documents and see how they've got things set up.

Anyone have any details about what is around in the Hollidaysburg, PA area recently? My parents were up there a few weeks ago and my mom reports several cabeese and some rounded-nose units she claims are perhaps F-units. This would be near the wye there by 2nd and 3rd Ave. If I had been with them or...
