Not really, considering the NHCR operating lease only covers to the Connecticut River, and CSXT owns the rest to St. Johnsbury.
Its to Gilman.

They have approx. 30yrs in the current pit available. They also own across the road on the west side of Rt 16, which I believe has about 50-80yrs worth estimated. So, NHN is really operating on borrowed time, once the sand disappears, so does the railroad. No the ownership by BS&G disappears. Th...

If the customers are interested in rail service, NHN has been open to adding non-sand customers over the years. They are only interested in an amount of non-sand customers that generate just enough that their sand ships free, which is why you only have HarMac, Eastern and the occasional oil cars. I...

Have the washouts on the Conway Branch been repaired yet? It might explain the reason for the delayed start for Conway bound trains. Still a work in progress from what I can see from West Side Rd. on my way to work. Im guessing for those areas around the field its better to wait for the frost to me...

They also retained some ownership as well, such as west of Gilman. They had on the Conway Branch as well, about a mile, but that was long ago rectified.

Finance what, though? The state owns all the track beyond the seven miles of in-service Conway Branch on all ends, and the "presentation" was entirely about who CSRX is and what they do, as opposed to a formal plan for the additional trackage on either section. The RR certainly doesn't ha...

Thing to remember is that on NHDOT lines there are generally two contracts, one for passenger and one for freight. While one RR can hold both, generally its a lot easier for a tourist RR to hold one, and a freight carrier to hold the other, like on the White Mountain Branch.

This has left the railway unsafe and unusable for pedestrians.
What are you talking about? More context and detail are needed as to what has left the railway unsafe, and how you believe it to be so?

They are looking at shipping by rail again and discussions have happened and quite recently too. A bridge survey is to be done this spring at the Contoocook River bridge which will most likely dictate how much further those discussions go.

Not gonna happen. You're going to see a decent amount of work on this line come spring. It's just not on the high list right now as the main is.
