Test trains or the mock runs have started on phase 1 according to the Mbta.com website. Just got updated today. haven't heard a peep yet about test trains. I'll ask tomorrow. Don't believe everything you read on that site, a lot is just "for show." Check the Mass Coastal forums to see if ...

guy....clearly you don't know what you're talking about. Who gives a sh** about windows? It is not the windows that are drafty with the 2nd gen....the draft comes in from the control stand and brake stand when the CC crew door is closed. That is why most of us ride with the CC door open and side cre...

guys guys guys calm down here, this is getting out of control. The fleet doesn't matter to the company, Keolis...Your understand they are a private operation, for profit operation......these coach numbers mean NOTHING to them, nor who built them. So the whole construction & updates to the line is an MBTA project, not a Keolis project, I assume since it is huge. Once they are done then they turn it over to Keolis to operate. Correct. It is a MBTA project, Middlesex Corp is doing the physical construction and once completed with PTC, Cabs...

not sure what the obsession is with Kawasaki CCs SS, but as of 2/2: SS 1705, 1709, 1711, 1715 The equipment cycles have no rhyme or reason. The K cars are not getting "removed" from SS, all depends on the rotation of equipment, what gets picked for what. We have not "lost" all 9*...

all respect Mr CRail, but the HSP's MAS is 103 mph I appreciate the respect, but your very own timetable disagrees with you. HSP-46 speeds Lite, Multiple Lite, and With train are 50, 50, and 90 respectively. I have deduced that this is why ACSES displays 90 in the cab on the corridor when MAS for M...

What is traction interlock? Traction Interlock deals with the door circuit system, connected to applicable coaches that are equipped. TI has nothing to do with the brake system. If an exterior door is not completely closed, tractive effort is severed and engineer can not take power. It has been bro...
