Once freight begins it should make for an interesting operation. I am curious if they will add one or two more engines, because when you look at their roster, they're motive power is old for the most part. So it could be interesting to see what comes about.

That's what I thought but I haven't heard anyone bring these up yet. Also if you see the locations of these cars they're all in the Northeast so it's relative location too. I guess they would have to store these in Saratoga. I can't believe there would be room in North Creek for them to store them. ...

Are all these boxcars I see here:

actually Saratoga and North Creel rolling stock or is there somehow another RR with these reporting marks? Has anyone seen these on the line?

With all the potential for a large volume of freight traffic and the two E8's having now gone back to Iowa Pacific, would it be unreasonable to expect some new motive power to augment the 8-39B and the BL2 ?

I am looking to make a loosely based model of the Howe's Cave Cement Pant, most likely using PVC Pipe and Gator Foam. I do not have the self expectations, nor the required room for the exact replica, so again, I am going with the "loosely based" concept. Does anyone know the "ballpark...

I saw something the other day - maybe it was the Yahoo group or something - about some empty hoppers in Saratoga Yard slated to go to S&NC, and they were stenciled DM&E or something to that affect. Not sure of anything beyond that, Just hearsay on my end.

There are 2 pictures of the molasses tank cars in the freight guide. That's where I saw them. They were all red some were more like a boxcar red though. Some just had a D&H stencil while others had the shield. I also heard the same about the unreliability of Guilford.

Is it necessary to wire electrofrog turnouts? In the past I have placed insulated rail joiners on the trailing end to prevent shorts. Is this a reliable method? I have a couple of Hi-Rail track cars I would like to play with and I hear they won't run on insulfrog turnouts. This is correct, right? If...

I was planning on an HO Scale model of the Cobleskill Passenger Depot for my layout. I am probably going to scratchbuild it. As of now, I will use the Rico Station as a stand in. Does anyone have ANY suggestions for this? I was strongly considering Northeastern Scale Lumber clapboard siding. Or is p...

I'm not familiar with friction bearing trucks. What do they do that causes the, not to be used on the CP trackage into Saratoga?
