Those numerical aspects are not used on MNR territory. Not 100% sure if they're used when the M8s are on SLE.

Track one is used for equipment to changes end coming into or out of the yard. Such as trains coming out of the yard and deadheading up to New Canaan or Danbury or Waterbury in the morning. Getting rid of it would cause congestion and force the RTC to use a platform track for a train not making a st...

Third rail runs only just past CP 35 on the Hudson Line, not Poughkeepsie. Also a bunch of cows got shocked way back when they still had 3rd rail in CT, so they outlawed it. Back in early 1900s.

I'm hearing end of May for the start of M8s on SLE. But that would surprise me. Nevertheless, things are moving along at a rapid pace to get this going.

The Railroad is desperate for Conductors, so it shouldn't be long.

Expect: Opening a train barrel door, walking on uneven terrain, stepping over 3rd rail (not live), climbing up a ladder that represents a climbing on the side of the train, putting together glad hands (air hoses), lifting a package over your head, a perhaps a couple of others that I can't remember. ...

Simply put, NO, passengers cannot sit in the cabs (the non-jump seat side). Passengers can sit in the jump seat other than in the operating cab so long as the conductor doesn't need to use it to operate the doors. The engineer is required to have the operating cab in the full cab position, so no pas...

Even if there are several trains in a section, particularly in two track territory like the upper Harlem, the signal system will reduce the speed of the trains, thus reducing the of load the trains are drawing from the tra...

On one occasion we ran a 10 car M7 consist to NWP during the evening rush. Had to do a double-take on that one. We usually ran with 10 M3s, so when I saw M7s I thought we would have people sitting in the luggage racks, but was pleasantly surprised to see we somehow had 10 cars. It was common to move...

Cell towers will be added along the right of way not onboard trains. Park Ave tunnel has already been upgraded a few years ago.
