The ideal station once NPT comes online would simply be 2 high platforms, a pedestrian tunnel/bridge, a shelter with those hotlamps, and proper walkways from the surrounding area. Beyond that, its a waste unless preservation of existing historical buildings comes into the picture. Why do you say th...
I heard the rock slide occurred in the vicinity of the Mount Joy Station. They are blasting the rock then removing it.
A train (that may have been 649) arrived around 5:17 PM at Paoli Station led by a P-32 attached to an AEM-7.
Is the Route 100 in Exton?
"merrick1" I wonder if vandalism is a concern when shipping new cars by rail. There are reports on the MBTA forum that some of the new Rotem commuter cars picked up graffiti on their way from Philly to Boston. That would depend on how the carrier handles the loads, security at the switchi...

The whole truck looks visibly uneven. That can't be good for accel/braking or going into curves. I'm gonna go out on a limb and venture a guess that if this was really an issue, the guys in the shop wouldn't have cleared it for duty. Really? http://articles.philly.com/1999-12-13/news/25480289_1_esc...
I know that the Market Frankford line conducts a daily disinfecting of touch surfaces including seats, back-of-seat handles, floor-to-ceiling and seat-to-ceiling poles, and overhead grab bars and handles.
Not much, especially since the Keystone Corridor has a legacy dispatching system. That mostly rely on a radio. SEPTA is currently installing buttons which can be pressed when a SEPTA train is spotted in each of the staffed interlocking towers (Zoo, Overbrook, Paoli, Thorn) to alert the control cente...
There is definitely a Silverliner II/IV influence in the small window adjacent to the cab door in the Silverliner V. (Far left)
Zoning: Trevose is currently a Zone 4 station. Many people opt instead to drive down Philmont Ave to Somerton Station instead. It is easy to do and cheaper to take the train from there. However, with the new rezoning of Trevose as a Zone 3, there will probably be a lot more people using the station...
If ridership would be so low as for you to be talking about making it a flag stop, it would be too low to justify constructing and operating a station. I'd say you'd need a potential ridership of at least 300 boards/day (around the system median) to make a new station worth considering. Next Stop, ...
The cameras were installed on a single Silverliner IV as a test (forgetting the car number).
To my knowledge, SEPTA is not installing them in any other cars due to a lack of sufficient grant money from Homeland Security.
