Currently siting on S&I1 inside in the wash section of the building, of all the screamers I'm suprised that one died it was one of the stronger screamers running.

Yea it has, the 600 is back here on home rails and was going back and fourth to boston as posted earlier.

How is it a shame? It takes time to properly test a new loco, we don't even know if it has been fully cleared by pueblo.

181 leaving off Track 10 had nothing to do with the incident in Oak Island. Just a late equipment swap. Train 68 struck and killed a trespasser at Oak Island crossing in Revere. And they still have been beat 100 times worse than the AEM's in daily commuter service and have not seen a rebuild program.

A good, creative thought, but unless the M8's can be built as bi-levels, they would be insufficient. Nearly all of the Providence Rush Hour trains run with seven car bi-level sets now, and are packed. Bi-levels seat about 180 people. M-8s seat 110. Replace a 7-bilevel train with a 12-MU train. Yes in the event of mechanical failure you can pipe a train while in revenue service.
