The new C&D operation is a subsidiary of G Lopes Construction/NE Recycling called Future Fuels. With the new trackage they have built (1 interior loading track and two exterior storage tracks) I would assume they are in need of a track mobile to shuffle cars when they open. Wonder if MC could g...

The only info I have in regards to when F3B 600B-603B were sold to the PRR was sometime before 1958. As for the P&LE SW-9's: According to George Melvin's excellent book BAR in Color Volume 2 a direct quote from Walter Travis, then Asst Executive Vice president said "We're working at the lea...

Is the goal not to get NBSR (Irving) bridge traffic to NS? Its a pretty trivial endeavor for the usual 20 lumber loads headed for central New England reloads and a smattering of grain/feed cars that the CMQ/WACR generate now. So if CMQ/VRS/PAS can land a load in EDFLD 18-24 hours shorter than PAR/PA...

I've talked to him about sending MSW to other landfills (Tunnel Hill in particular) and the biggest hurdle is the coverings needed for the cars. He would need to provide some kind of containment for the tops of the cars (not a problem with the MC cars as they already have lids). It's not like he ca...

Thanks. I'd imagine this routing could shave a good chunk of time off a straight PAR routing. Say 48 hours BJCT to WRJ (or less) as opposed to 48 hours on PAR from Keag to Rigby. Looks like some high cubes from NBSR mixed in as well. Good news here.

With the recent test of a CMQ/VRS run through train between Farhnam QC and White River Junction Vt, is the plan to run the power straight through or will a power swap still occur in Newport? Curious if a single crew can make the trip between terminals?

With the Sakonnet River Bridge dismantle well under way and the barges unloading in Fall River, any chance Excel or Mid-City will be increasing outbound scrap loads?

I stand corrected. Insulated boxcars only right?

I haven't seen a car at PFS since Eimskip left for Portland. Glad they are still getting cars.

Thanks for the updates

When was the last move at Burke? Sad to hear that may be the end for the Randolph IT. Probably a year ago. They rehabbed their double track siding as well as the switch and then nothing. Thought it might have been the rickety bridge over the Cochato River, however B729 has been storing gons (someti...

DSA (Foxboro Terminal) is the lilkely culprit. They have several large contracts and recently were getting upwards of 275 cars/month. Almost all boxes. Unfortunately it appears Tighe Mansfield has been quiet, although Advanced Warehouse has been a steady boxcar customer. There is no boxcar left traf...
