After all, there were no other trains in the area, and Wall Speedway is a mile and a half in the other direction, so it makes sense.
This past weekend, Pine Creek Railroad (NJMT) on the far side of I-195 was running their 55-tonner, which has an RS3L, thus why he can hear it that far. A few friends have heard it as far as Wall Speedway, and onto the other side of Route 34 in the other direction.
The horns he was hearing was 45 over at the NJMT, a mile and a half or so east.
Train is coming up to Shrewsbury now.
