Was sent this from a friend, apparently taken from the Siemens plant in California. Is this the start of testing for LIRR’s new dual mode locomotives?
Thanks for the info Don! I went out to Riverhead a few weeks ago and saw your equipment. I also saw the double decker car. According to your map I think its number 200? Are there any plans for that? Are you guys doing anything to that car?
I think RMLI's cars are pretty cool. What are you planning to do with your passenger coaches?
Hi Don! That’s great to hear. Do you know who owns the cars across the street? Are there any plans for them?
Hello everyone! I haven't heard from RMLI and Don Fisher in a while, what's going on at the Railroad Museum Of Long Island? Just wondering. Thanks!
Yesterday 512 led 167 out to Oyster Bay, 167 brought 516 back westbound.
I’ve got 6 tickets for the 2 and 4-seat booths in the east end of the 5th car on the Babylon run. Hopefully with the new tracker app we’ll be able to see the engine numbers.
I know they don’t use sandite anymore, me and the other railfans just refer to the trains as “Sandite 1”, “Sandite 2”, “Sandite 3”, and “Sandite 4”.
Sandite 2 with E591 and I believe 160 and 163 were doing leaf treatments yesterday on the Oyster Bay Branch. A schedule would be appreciated.
RS40 went through Mineola with 159 and 271 in the rain yesterday, 11 cars.
When will the M9s do #1501?
My friend has been seeing the M9s testing daily at Mineola. I heard they might be entering service on Labor Day.
Saw the M9s eastbound flying through Mineola around 9:30 this morning. Video coming soon!

157 and 165 were seen on the RF1 westbound through Mineola with one red LI flat car and four of the former circus train flats.
