FYI - B724 is only Mon-Wed-Fri now for starting a few months ago
During last years work we saw rail dated 1920. The line needs way more than a few ties each year.
This is a full list of CSX trains that run in and out of Framingham B722 - Turn Manifest (SUN-THU) [Framingham - Westborough] B724 - Turn Manifest (MON-FRI) [Framingham - Leominster] B725 - Turn Manifest (MON-FRI) [Framingham - Attleboro] B731 - Turn Manifest (MON-FRI) [Framingham - Readville] Y101...

They were only working for the week. Friday morning at 2:30am an extra took everything back south to Framingham.
The West Boylston detector is the only one left on the Worcester Main. It sounds different than most and calls out "B and M detector"
On Thursday 8/16, the train came east from North Adams to Ayer then turned south and ran from Ayer to Greendale over the Worcester main. There was a boxcar on the Greendale siding so MEC 7620 led the train back to Ayer.
Since Monday of this week a tie crew has been working between Southboro and Clinton. The 6206 is tied down at Teknor with the flats for loading the track machines. I didn’t see any new ties dropped north of Clint so it looks like that’s as far as they will go.
B724 has CSX 2813 (Ex Conrail GP38-2) trailing today. Should lead South and just arrived at Bestway @ 1530
Thanks John.
Still one in Franklin? I saw them one night right by 140/495.
How often does CSX service the Franklin to Milford line? Is it an overnight Walpole job?
Thanks
Caught B724 northbound through West Berlin today 4/5 with CSX 6230 - CSX 6225 - 1 covered hopper - 4 tanks and 5 or 6 lumber loads.
I took a ride through Leominster last Friday. There was 3 covered hoppers and a tank at Teknor. Also B724 that day worked Newcorr in Northboro before heading back to Framingham. They use the siding and a number of moves by splitting the power to switch ends instead of heading to Clinton to use the r...
Somewhere between 365 Boston Post Rd and Landham Rd there is supposedly an old target signal. But I've never ventured back there to find it.
