Hello all; just curious now with PRR in place how many SD60M’s are in regular use with Union Pacific? I’ve documented 2392 back in 2016, 2339 in 2018 but I was surprised to see 2338 and 2371 this year in action. Given PRR’s introduction in 2019 i was surprised by this. Is anyone able to shed light o...

6236 now a UP Yellow.

Leaves just 6290, 6310, 6318, 6367, 6378 and 6379. Six left. Of these I think 6318 is still stored in Portland? I know they come in and out of traffic as required.

So still holding on - just.

The faster the BNSF Railway paints over the hideous "warbonnet" units the better, there has never been a more over rated color scheme in railroading history than that thing, I hate it, along the old Santa Fe railway company, they thought they were "God's Railroad", best thing th...

Hi all; I hope everyone is well. I hope to visit Barstow CA next Friday between 7:30am-13:00. A few questions - do trains pass at speed here photography wise or given its a yard more slowly? I have picked a day with cloudy weather forecast as I’m aware the sun will backlit photos from the station. A...

The others seemingly still going strong.

6236, 6310, 6318, 6367, 6378, 6379, 6406 all still SP as is 6290 apparently. So in fact still for now right remain. Nice they last well into 2019

A update. Still just seven in the Southern Pacific livery as listed above. No further reprints so they have made it into July at least. Any further ahead remains to be seen.

Thanks for the information; Easter saw a purge on SP units; Now just seven remain; 6236, 6248, 6310, 6318, 6367, 6379, 6406. Conflicting reports on Hertiage Units suggested 6248 was done but a couple of recent photos on Flickr one only a couple of days ago still show in carrying the Southern Pacific...

Are these the yellowgreen ones of the same number range? Or a different unit type completely?

Many thanks for that information. Another Norfolk Southern spotted today. Most times the borrowed units are tucked behind the lead UP loco(s) but I have seen them banking and in the middle! Are BNSF class 1? Given how local they are they don’t appear as much! Only once last year did I catch a pair o...
