It should not be a matter of if for the Pelham Bay Bridge replacement. It's been in the plans to replace it for some time. Having ridden across that bridge so many times on Amtrak plus visited a relative of mine in Co-op City, I can see that it's been time to replace the bridge. I would be for an op...

Waverly could be a possibility but on the low end. I wouldn’t count on Disputanta needing one. For every station built, that adds time to the schedule and west of Suffolk, it’s not worth the extra money to add stations in the majority of those towns. As for the high level platforms on the Keystone C...

Re: North Carolina NCDOT-Amtrak Piedmont Service

While it would be great to see the NCDOT owned Piedmont rolling stock last forever, it's been around a very long time and is due for retirement. Whatever NCDOT wants to do with brand new equipment will be their choice. I think the Siemens trainsets that Amtrak is ordering-NCDOT would do great with t...

That CNJ equipment will be based in Boonton, NJ.

Woops I meant to say if Devon Transfer is ever a permanent station, then most of the trains running to and from Waterbury would run as far south as Devon. I don't want to go too far off topic but in terms of having Amtrak stop at Barnum if it ever gets built, not sure about that. The current Bridgep...

The proposed Barnum Station in the East End of Bridgeport is certainly worth looking into. Now typing it in with the Waterbury Branch rail service-the trains that continue to Bridgeport and Stamford should definately stop at Barnum Station if it ever gets built. I don't think there is any need to ha...

The excursions this Sunday will be happening!

As much as I think a new station like Devon Transfer would slow the travel times for MNR Trains traveling from NHV-GCT, that's not always everything, given the reason for building the station. I would probably be for a permanent Devon Transfer Station, given the fact that the more trains are added t...

I agree about not closing the current Seymour and Beacon Fall Stations. There's really not much of a point to. The Seymour Station is located right in the business district. The platform is on straight track so building a high level platform there should be fine.

I saw the post on subchat and from what I read, it sounded like the damage was significant. Vandalism anywhere on the train is not acceptable at all. While the second week of the R32 excursions was better than the first, there was one minor vandalism event involving somebody spraying something to th...

Any new MBTA Station should get brand new full length high level platforms if possible and that includes the proposed route to Manchester, NH. I know that there is a proposal that Amtrak may look into operating the service as part of the connect plan but I think MBTA should look into considering it....

This is a very recent article about the proposal of a Bedford, VA Station and it looks like the Commonwealth of VA, Amtrak, and area residents are onboard with building a station there.

Right now, many of the trains on the NWK Division go into NYP. The weekend RVL line trains only go as far as NWK Penn. I don't think there are any more trains that run between Bay Head and Hoboken. If MOM were to start running right now, those trains would probably end up terminating in either NWK o...

If MOM were to ever run on the Coastline if it even happens, I would love to see a third track added at least down to the Perth Amboy and South Amboy Area. This would help express trains travel around locals. Yes Gateway is happening-not a matter of if-it's a matter of when and around next year, the...

If an Amtrak station were to ever get built in Suffolk, VA, hopefully there would be enough parking. By the way, I just remembered that the right of way used by Amtrak trains to NFK passes through Windsor-if the city doesn't want to build a station in Downtown Suffolk, then maybe Windsor would be an...
