Re: GTI's expansion plans

To think the STB would've let relatively tiny GTI purchase its way into becoming a transcon, especially with how they handled the ST fiasco, is almost laughable. Please excuse my disbelief.

On my way to check out Atlanta, NY today I came through Lancaster on Erie st to get to rt20. As I crossed over Pavement Rd I noticed that a section of track is being assembled. It’s not complete and appears to be using the newer ties rather than the creosote ties. https://i.imgur.com/rKTDoCn.jpg FY...

The 1800 (RS-11) has left the property. They are, in fact, using former Albany Port RR # 12.

Further to the subject; noticed yesterday they're using a switcher lettered for the Albany Port RR. It was too far away to get a number.

End of the Line for DL&W RS-11?

For the past week, the DL&W RS-11 has been sitting outside the shop in Lancaster. Yesterday, I noticed the windows had been covered over with wood. Anyone know the story? I recall seeing it running just a few weeks ago.

Rode that on 281 Sunday. Very smooth, and I believe we hit 110 also.

This is going to take a while, that whole fill that collapsed is going to need to be rebuilt and stabilized. Along with any underlying drainage/culvert/subgrade issues that may need to be corrected either as the underlying causes or results of this. And that won't even begin until the recovery is d...

I don't think the Hours of Service regs mean too much to John Q. Public. For probably 95% of the readers, the operative point is the first crew was done and new guys took over. That said, AP like most other news media has become a caricature of what journalism used to be. Grammar, syntax, accuracy,...

By irrelevant, I was referring specifically to Riverbend as it will be open and largely staffed long before any proposed development occurs at BCT. Now presuming that 1.) BCT is redeveloped with the proposed housing units; 2.) the Buffalo growth spurt continues; and 3.) the area 'around' BCT can be ...
